We believe that every member of your family has greatness and we can’t wait to learn and grow from you! Parent helps us leave a legacy at Elm Grove through things like PTA and supporting their student leaders!

Leader in Me (LiM) is an evidence-based, comprehensive school-improvement model—developed in partnership with educators and Franklin Covey—that empowers students with the leadership and life skills they need to thrive in a global community. Leader in Me is about empowering your child to reach their full potential while ultimately finding their voice. As a school, the staff in this building have made five core commitments to your child. We call these our Core Paradigms. In these paradigms you will find the belief and way we view all students.

Smiling girl with dark hair tied back, wearing a white school uniform and navy blue bow, holding open educational books about leadership and teamwork. Behind her, a boy in a dark hoodie is visible in the classroom.

Learn how Leader in Me elementary schools are addressing leadership and life skills, positive and supportive school cultures, unfinished learning, resilience, trauma-informed practices, self-directed learning, PBIS, and more.

A smiling woman and two children, a boy and a girl, standing outside near a car. The boy is wearing a green and black sports jersey, and the girl is wearing a purple soccer uniform. There is a book titled 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families' by Stephen R. Covey on the table in front of them.

You are your child’s first and most influential teacher by laying the foundation for the education of their mind, heart, body, and spirit. Take the lead at home by teaching and modeling principles of effectiveness for all family members.

Two animal characters, a hedgehog and a beaver, sitting on the floor playing with a robot toy. The hedgehog wears a yellow striped shirt and jeans, and the beaver wears a blue shirt and shorts. They have containers filled with toy tools nearby.

Learn about each habit and explore a take home sheet that can be used to learn more about that habit at home!

STUDENT LED GRANTS

Every year Elm Grove students are invited to apply for a Student-Led Grant!

These grants are supported by parents (you!) through the PTA. (Way to go leaders!)

It is a unique opportunity to turn your creative ideas into reality! Whether you want to improve your classroom, beautify the campus, bring new technology to your grade level, or support a special subject area like music, art, or the library—this is your chance to make a difference.

The application encourages students to take ownership by explaining the “what” and “why” of their project, who will benefit, and how it will be carried out. Applications must include a completed form, a printed Amazon cart for the requested items, and appropriate signatures.

Remember: this is a student-led process—so take initiative, use your voice, and submit a compelling, well-thought-out proposal. Don’t miss out on the chance to create real change in your school!

Eagle Squadron Dads is a PTA initiative that invites fathers, step‑dads, grandfathers, and father‑figures to spend a full or half school day on campus, cheering on every learner and modeling leadership in action.
