Taking Eagles to new Heights!

Eagle Squadron Dads is a PTA initiative that invites fathers, step‑dads, grandfathers, and father‑figures to spend a full or half school day on campus, cheering on every learner and modeling leadership in action.

Pre-Flight Check

  • Complete HAYS CISD Background Check

  • Join PTA (if you have not already)

  • Give us some days you are ready to go! (we will check with teacher/admin to pick the best)

Morning/Afternoon Briefing

  • Check in at the front office with your ID, grab your "Eagle Squadron” badge, and depending on full day or half day you will be given details of your mission!

On Campus Possible Missions:

  • Greet students during arrival

  • Encourage positive play and have fun with the students at recess

  • Step into classrooms if a teacher has a need or something fun for you to do to help

  • Go to your students specials (art, music, library, P.E.)

  • Eat lunch with your student

Your mission will not necessarily be with your student the full day! Missions may vary!

FAQs

Do I have to stay the entire school day?

1

No— but plan on 3-4 hours at a minimum. A full day plan is roughly 7:30 a.m.–2:45 p.m. That gives you time to hit every part of the schedule. If you opt for a half day depending on when you come options will be different. If you do not do a full day the 3-4 hours can start and stop anytime during the day as long as it is in between 7:30am-2:45am.

Can I volunteer more than once?

2

Absolutely! Fly as often as you like; just repeat the sign‑up process for day selection. There is no need to re-do your background check within a calendar year or rejoin the PTA.

I’m not a sports guy—what if recess makes me nervous?

3

No worries. Your presence matters more than your jump‑shot. Pass out encouragement, help mediate playground rules, or simply cheer from the sidelines.

What if my job schedule is unpredictable?

4

Choose a date now; we can reschedule if life throws turbulence your way.
